Established in Finland in 2008, Bioart Society develops multiple activities in the fields of art and natural sciences, with an emphasis on ecology and sustainability. Its headquarters are located at SOLU, a space that functions as a platform and laboratory for art, science, and culture in Helsinki.
Bioart Society also collaborates with the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station of the University of Helsinki to coordinate Ars Bioarctica, an art & science program focused on the sub-arctic environment.
