Editorial design for MoKs, Estonia’s longest running artist-lead residency space.
MoKS is a non for profit, artist-run project space in Estonia, located in the village of Mooste.
Since 2001, it started a local and international cooperation in the fields of arts and environmental research within a rural, post-soviet context.
It is mainly dedicated to organizing an artist in residence program, exhibitions, workshops, symposia, and multiple events.
Super Eclectic developed two editorial projects that give testimony of Moks’ impactful trans-cultural activities:
MoKS anniversary postcards.
Super Eclectic’s proposal was to introduce an interactive format to collect memories comprising 10 years of activities at MoKS.
Every postcard has a picture on the front depicting artworks, details of the residency’s house, the landscape, or glimpses of everyday life at Moks.
The back contains thoughts and experiences written by the guest artists.
Keywords transform into lines that connect the scattered postcards, inviting us to put them together and compose a larger image.
This is an annual compendium of all the events taking place at MoKS , including information on how the organization is financed: the general budget, where it comes from, and how it is spent.
This online publication is altogether a comprehensive archive that describes MoKS’ raison d’être.
Super Eclectic envisioned an editorial design featuring a dynamic thread that navigates through all the pages.
The graphic elements gracefully interact with all the images to connect various episodes, positioning the archival material in time and space.
