Diversity in the neighborhood

Big corporations impose strategies that make shops look the same around the world. In response, Super Eclectic is developing Rotulama, a project that establishes collaborations with small shops at the brink of gentrification.

Through dialog, creative interventions and by documenting stories from shop owners, the goal is to support them and promote diversity in the neighborhood.

We’re very happy to announce that we have received support from the Nordisk Kulturfond through its program Globus Opstart to kick off this project!

Our first collaboration is taking place at an Asian grocery shop in the heart of Sörnäinen, Helsinki.

Next year, we will be working in the city of Campeche, together with Central Sureste. La Central is an independent space that promotes creative collaborations with artists, researchers, and creators in the Mexican Southeast.

Stay tuned for more!
